Reviewer: Stuart Rating: 0/5 The Good: Great picture quality when it is working The Bad: developed purple coloured bands on the screen which I am now aware of is very common. Faulty tuner section.
Overall: Set is only a few years old, had some of the faults probably since new, set cost me $3,000, Samsung have offered me $450 compensation. Not acceptable to me. This is my second set, the first was replaced under warranty (different problem) no charge, so I have now been supplied 2 faulty TV's.

being a plasma TV it has a hard glass front which is great when you have kids who like to point things out on the screen. The Bad: replaced screen twice because purple banding appeared.
starts in upper right hand corner and works its way to the left. speakers have been replaced also and finally some techie adjusted the (100V) voltage for the screen and the purple band disappeared for awhile. now its back again and warranty is gone. Overall: Bought the set 2010/2011 and had many problems with it.
speaker sounds are awful! the remote works in a weird way like it does not transmit at times. and the worst part is the purple banding that is very obvious on white backgrounds, it cost me 1500 Euro's and for that kind of money you must expect a better product.
