Reviewer: tbone Rating: 5/5 The Good: this sets the badest well worth every penny The Bad: non Overall: buy one u will be pleased
Reviewer: Wayne Rating: 5/5 The Good: The picture is brilliant, the sound from the side speakers is great and it looks great on the wall. The glassless front cuts the glare. Gazillions of colours. 5 year warranty and free install. HDMI and PC inputs as well as the usual multiples of S-video, AV and composite. The Bad: Expensive...but hey, you want a quality HDTV you pay for it....and the RRP dropped $1,000 the week after I bought it.....glad I didn't pay RRP anyway! Analogue inbuilt tuner (what's the point!) Overall: I love the thing.....my mates came over to watch the footy and were blown away! My dad saw it and was drooling on my loungeroom floor. I'm Wrapped!
Reviewer: Rick Rating: 5/5 The Good: Clear, crisp picture with heaps of adjustments available thru the menu. Pioneer installers were on time, quick and knowledgable. Looks impressive with gloss black sides. Havent used speakers (Still in box), connected sound through my AV receiver. The Bad: Need to go buy a HDMI DVD player now! Gloss black sides showed up dust really quickly. Otherwise no issues for me. i live in an area where many digital TV stations only broadcast in SD, picture is very grainy,(not a fault of panel..but worthwhile noting cause it is obvious on screen). The HD stations are brilliant! Overall: I am very impressed. After looking at heaps of different panels, it is a bit daunting spending so much $$$ and wondering if you will be satifisfied. I AM - it was well worth it!
Reviewer: Paul Rating: 5/5 The Good: This is by far the best plasma display on the market. Fantastic picture quality, great dynamic range with loads of detail in dark areas of the picture. Numerous inputs including PC & HDMI. Lots of useful setup options. Supplied side speakers are great for use with TV. Looks great even when its not turned on. The Bad: Without HDMI DVD player and HDTV box you really can't do justice to this fantastic display. SDTV is adequate at best. Used for playing Xbox is also less than I had expected, but as game consoles move to HD I'm sure this display will come into its own. Expensive. Overall: Very impressive display. Highly recommended to anybody in the market for a 50" display. You can't go past this unit for sheer performance and stunning looks. Thumbs up to Pioneer for a job well done.
Reviewer: travstaa Rating: 2/5 The Good: sound quality is ok The Bad: I found out after taking my tv back in for repair due to broken panel that the plasma screens are actually second hand, they are pulled out of last years models and put in the new cases. thats bullshit. i got my money back. Overall: terrible.
Reviewer: Jan Higgins Rating: 5/5 The Good: Super picture quality and hooked up through my surround sound system, it is like being in the movie itself. Crystal clear images and looks great The Bad: none so far Overall: Love it to bits
Reviewer: scott Rating: 2/5 The Good: very accurate color decoding The Bad: washed out in really dark scenes
noise artifacts in film mode
expensive
Overall: panny commercial displays -albeit ugly beats it hands down for picture quality and at a fraction of the price
Reviewer: Danny Rating: 2/5 The Good: Looks impresive, good to watch DVD's. The Bad: Picture staggers around after 20mins of use in digital sd/hd tv. Have changed 3 media boxes and 3 digital set top boxes (different brands)and one noew panel, all withing 2 months of installation with no results. Amplifer was installed on antenna system and all RGB leads were replaced. Still no luck !!! Overall: Does anyone have an answer to my problem. If you have any information on this problem please e-mail me at
micksflicks@bigpond.com.au
Reviewer: GT Rating: 4/5 The Good: Great picture and sound. Lots of handy inputs...Looks classy too. Really great to have the wall bracket, installation and 5 year warranty included in the price. The Pioneer installers, Stuart and Graham, were terrific and knowledgable - gotta be the best installers on the planet (do I win the monthly DVD player?) The Bad: 3 metre cable was a little short to suit our installation. Bit annoying having to watch out for those nasty tv station logos (eg Foxtel) that are burning in my beautiful panel! Watch out for the warranty terms - void if installed above a gas fire (like in almost ALL the new display homes and designer magazines) Overall: Really great panel - You too can be the envy of your neighbourhood!
Reviewer: Rishad Nathani Rating: 4/5 The Good: Great crisp, clear display on HD formats. Great sound too. The Bad: Poor reception of regular SDTV broadcasts. Got an amplifier and it helped but not up to mark. Pioneer factory setting is tuned for HD. Overall: Great for someone who has lots of HD programming. Dont have HDTV broadcast in India yet so will wait for it.
Reviewer: du Rating: 0/5 The Good: none The Bad: had nothing but trouble since the day i got it peice of crap id rather watch my little 30cm tube than my 50" peice of shit Overall: carapy
Reviewer: popeye Rating: 5/5 The Good: great! great! great! this model beats anything my friends have and i love it The Bad: the break in schedule is a bit of a pain, and i have turned into a couch potato Overall: you pay for quality and get it in spades. brilliant picture, great sound
Reviewer: taner86 Rating: 1/5 The Good: can't think of any The Bad: it is just another gimmick to take your money away.
The same quality for half the price is a standard feature of today's market.
think of it this way unless you are loaded with money. Overall: just an average toy yet very expensive.
